Jane is a Social Scientist, activist, certified Postnatal Bereavement Doula, Reiki, and Aromatherapy practitioner. She is also a trauma-informed Yoga teacher. She teaches Yoga for: All shaped bodies; Black Women; and for Bereavement. Jane did her Yin yoga teacher training in India. She is also certified in Vinyasa Inspired Yoga with Iyengar Alignment Methods, Postnatal Yoga, and Yoga Nidra.

Jane Xavier is a Brazilian living in Ireland since 2006. She left behind a job for life as a Nutrition Technician in Sao Paulo Hospital to come to Dublin in 2006. She has worked in various areas from childcare, NGOs, and jobs in the tech sector.

In 2012, Jane got involved in diversity and inclusion and activism, and then she graduated with a degree in Social Sciences. After experiencing a very traumatic pregnancy loss and having to deal with mental health problems as a result, she decided to take a step back from her busy life.

She had to learn how to deal with the loss of her daughter Beatriz. And three years later 12 weeks into her second pregnancy, she lost another angel called Kaique. In her search for healing, she found a few things which helped on her bereavement journey. She finished her doula training and studied Reiki. Then she also studied Aromatherapy and qualified as a Yoga teacher.

Super Women Everywhere is Jane’s way of blending her activism and experience to foster representation of people who most often feel excluded in yoga spaces and support other people in their own journeys through grief and the loneliness that often comes with it.
